Morning MIsts
Yosemite National Park, California
As luck would have it I had another trip to California coincide with a spring storm in 2016. Arriving early to the classic Yosemite Valley overlook before sunrise the fresh 4-6" of snow covered the entirety of the view before me. Some clouds were dancing around the 3 Brothers and below. As the sun crested the mountainside to my right the clouds and fog started dancing something fierce around the valley. The view changing rapidly moment by moment. Perhaps one of my most productive shoots ever (with regards to portfolio level images captured in one sitting), I was able to make this photo, Evanescence & Behind The Veil in just 9 minutes. The interplay of light, fog and trees was something special and honored to have been one of the very few souls to witness this display that morning.
