Limited Edition + Artist Proof Information

Limited Edition & Artist Proofs

In contemporary art, a limited edition refers to a set numbe of released print of a certain piece of art. Limited editions are just that - limited - and this is what gives them value in the fine art world. The exclusivity or limited production of a piece is what makes it fine art, what maintains its’ integrity as fine art, and what supports its' investment value. The images will never be re-released when they’re sold out as this would detract from the value of the edition, disappointing our collectors, and compromising the integrity of the Photographer. Additionally, collectors can be assured that limited editions are a great collection and as a investment: as the availability decreases, value increase and once the edition is closed the images increases substantially because they are no longer available. Furthermore, Artist Proofs are even more exclusive in their rarity and are only available through contacting an aFeinberg Gallery.

All images in the aFeinberg Collection are limited inclusive of size, except where noted. This means that no matter what size you collect it will come out of that small edition. Exceptions are based upon images that were with Aaron as he began his career selling prints out of his car on the street. While we are unable to re-release these images from scratch, the sizes offered have been greatly reduced. Please contact with any questions and we will be happy to help!

Facemounted Prints

Using the latest in paper technology, Lumachrome HD, this is the ultimate modern display technique. These prints are face mounted to a piece of 1/8" archival acrylic. The finish creates an image full of depth and rich in color. The high gloss finish of the acrylic makes the image stand out and reveals the finest details of the print below. Since the print is fully sealed against the acrylic this mounting technique can significantly improve the archival life of the image particularly in high humidity environments. ***Available in Regular and Non-glare acrylic.

Metal

New medium for a new age. Metal prints represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused onto the surface and not on it your images will take on an almost magical luminescence. Truly stunning detail and resolution giving a 3D or HD appearance to the photo. Standard option is the "float" mount which hangs the images on the wall appearing to float on it's own. ***Available in High Gloss, Semi-gloss & Satin finishes.

Giclée

Printed directly onto museum quality canvas material using quality archival inks and given a gloss clear coat. The canvas print is then wrapped around a stretcher frame so that the photo's edges are visible on the sides of the frame at 1.5" depths. The final look of the canvas lends itself to a painterly look as the texture of the material can be seen. A great way to have a more traditional art look.
