Secrets Beach, Kaua'i, Hawai'i

Getting up for sunrise always has its risks of getting skunked. At least sunset one can tell what the clouds are doing. Getting up at 445...it's dark. Getting down to our location we were relieved to see it was relatively clear out to the east. Timing this for the solstice means a small window to capture an image with the sun in this position. As the sun came up the color exploded. After clicking like crazy for about 15 min I wanted to do a panorama. This image was INCREDIBLY difficult to pull off, but in the end the efforts were rewarded. What a great way to start the summer season!
