February 2020. Winter was in full effect on this particular morning and as luck would have it I was taking the back roads headed to work. Lucky to have my gear in the car, this was most definitely a yank over to the side and grab the long lens as quickly as possible. While heavy rain in the winter is common, the early morning light hitting the back walls of Wai'ale'ale was extra special. And then of course a subtle rainbow over the gushing cliffs topped it off. Truly a wow moment
