{"id":269,"date":"2013-05-11T15:01:13","date_gmt":"2013-05-12T01:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.afeinbergphotography.com\/blog\/?p=269"},"modified":"2013-05-11T15:01:13","modified_gmt":"2013-05-12T01:01:13","slug":"6-years-a-kauaiversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.afeinbergphotography.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/6-years-a-kauaiversary\/","title":{"rendered":"6 Years&#8230;a Kauaiversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nAdmittedly this is <del>2<\/del> days late. \u00a0And pretty telling of where life stands as of current. \u00a0May 7th is my Kauaiversary. \u00a0My land date. \u00a0Forever burned in to my synapses as the beginning of the current phase of my life. \u00a0I landed at night. \u00a0Without ever having been to Hawaii in my life. \u00a0Was picked up at the airport by my employer at the time who I hadn&#8217;t seen in a year and driven north to where I was to live and work, Princeville. \u00a0At some point along the ride I asked &#8220;so where&#8217;s the ocean&#8221;, which at that point we pulled over to the side of the highway and rolled down the window. \u00a0The spot was Kealia just north of Kapa&#8217;a on the east side of the island. \u00a0The ocean, not more than a couple of hundred yards from the car. \u00a0Next was the mysterious rain that was falling without a cloud to originate from. \u00a0Stars above. \u00a0Rain on the windshield. \u00a0Fascinating!
